Xavi requests an urgent meeting after Clásico
Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez requested an urgent meeting with the management of the Catalan giant, after the El Clásico match.
Barcelona lost 2-3 to its rival Real Madrid, in the 32nd round of La Liga, at the Bernabeu Stadium.
In the 28th minute, the match witnessed a corner kick for Barcelona, which Yamal met with one deceptive touch, and goalkeeper Andrey Lunin narrowly cleared it, while it appeared that the ball had crossed the goal line.
The Barcelona players demanded that the goal be counted. Still, the referee stopped the match pending the decision of the "VAR", which confirmed that the ball had not crossed its entire circumference, after which the referee ordered the game to continue.
According to radio "RAC1", Xavi requested a meeting with the Barcelona sports administration, to discuss the issue of his continuation in the next season.
She indicated that Xavi wants strong guarantees so that Barca can strengthen its ranks in the next summer Mercato if he decides to stay with the team.
Sport and Mundo Deportivo also confirmed that Xavi is now open to staying with Barcelona following the Clásico loss.
Xavi announced last January that he would leave Barcelona coaching at the end of the current season.
