Ancelotti is planning an unexpected surprise against Manchester City

Italian Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid's coach, is planning a surprise decision against Manchester City, next Wednesday, in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals.

The first leg at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium ended in a 3-3 draw.

According to the Spanish newspaper "AS", Ancelotti is considering starting the Brazilian Eder Militao in the match against Manchester City, although he still doubts his technical readiness and possession of the rhythm of the matches.

The newspaper pointed out that Ancelotti was asked three times during the press conference for the Mallorca match: “Will Militao’s participation in today’s match be as a starter or a substitute? And if he is a substitute, will he get long minutes in the second half?”

Despite this, Ancelotti did not give a decisive answer to the journalists, but what is certain is that he did not participate for a single minute, as happened against Athletic Bilbao, because the Italian coach considers today’s match a test for him, in order to put him as a starter against Manchester City.

AS confirmed that Militao is in 200% good condition, and does not suffer from any risk of relapse after recovering from a cruciate ligament injury.

Ancelotti dreams that Real Madrid's defensive duo in the decisive part of the season will be composed of Antonio Rudiger and Militao, but on the condition that the latter is at full capacity after returning from injury.
