UEFA Champions League: 2022-2023 season kicks off early

The European Football Champions League season for the 2022-2023 season will start early and end late due to the holding of the 2022 World Cup - Qatar from November 21 to December 18, as indicated by the European Union for the game (UEFA) on its official website.

The group stage begins on September 6, after it used to start in the middle of the same month, and concludes on November 2, after it previously extended until December.

As for the final match, it will be hosted by the “Ataturk” Olympic Stadium in Istanbul on June 10, 2023, knowing that it was originally scheduled for 2020 in Istanbul before it was moved to Lisbon due to the Corona pandemic. Then it was transferred again from Istanbul also in 2021 to Porto to allow the supporters of both sides of the final to attend the final match.

The last edition, which was scheduled in St. Petersburg and was moved to Saint-Denis stadium in the outskirts of Paris due to the Russian attack in Ukraine, was for Real Madrid, who beat Liverpool with a single goal late last month, enhancing its record of titles to 14.
