The Organizing Committee of the Paris 2024 Olympics took a decision to avoid a repeat of what happened in the Champions League final last season, between Real Madrid and Liverpool.
Organizing Committee Chairman Tony Estange announced that tickets for the 2024 Paris Olympics will be electronic only, to avoid paper fraud.
But he did not specifically mention the chaotic events that took place in the Champions League final on May 28 in Saint-Denis.
"We chose the e-ticket to make the process as efficient as possible. It's an innovation compared to other courses, and this will allow us not to go through things that we've been through recently," said Estanje.
The French government has pledged that a large number of police will ensure security at the 2024 Paris Olympics, after the bad experience of the Champions League final.
French President Emmanuel Macron summoned to the Elysee Palace ministers who will take on responsibilities in the organization, as well as International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach, to discuss the main challenges of the tournament.
The Elysee Palace indicated that it will deploy between 7 and 11,000 policemen per day, excluding the opening day, in addition to 17,000 private security personnel every day.
