Bayern Munich legend: Muller reminds me of Messi

German football legend Lothar Matthaus compared the reaction of Bayern Munich striker Thomas Muller to a missed opportunity, and the Argentine Lionel Messi, the star of Paris Saint-Germain.

Matthaus commented in his article on Sky Sports, on Mueller's reaction when he missed a real scoring opportunity, writing, "He should laugh when that happens, because he has tremendous confidence in himself."

He continued, "This reminds me of Messi, who smiles often when he misses a chance, because he knows 100% that he can make up for it with 3 chances later."

In another context, the Bayern legend praised the work done by Hasan Salihamidzic, the Bavarian sports director, in the transfer market this summer.

Hamidic succeeded in strengthening the team's ranks with distinguished elements, led by Sadio Mane, Matthias de Ligt, Nassir Mazraoui and Ryan Gravenberich, which makes the team a strong candidate to win the Champions League, according to Matthaus.
